It brings me great pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Sallie Youmans of Sallie's Flowers and Engraving. I discovered Sallie through her brochures and advertising on Edisto Island when I was visiting in December of 2003 researching my wedding. Her website was impressive and she came highly recommended through my photographer as well. Sallie is a pleasure to work with. Her style and attention to detail is obvious. Sallie's business offers a fresh perspective, always willing to listen to the client and entertain their whims! She was able to take an idea that I found and make it her own, adding indigenous floral suggestions from the Lowcountry and tailoring it to the season. She even managed to make what could have been a difficult situation into a blessing in disguise. Once we worked out my budget, we discovered that the flower I was most interested in was just too expensive. So she suggested another flower that would work and stay within budget. Once the wedding rolled around the flower we had decided on was not available due to local wholesalers over selling for Mother's Day and the weather being unseasonably warm- but Sallie not only found another flower that would work - but suggested the bloom that I had initially wanted and made it affordable! She guaranteed her work! Sallie Youmans is a fabulous florist. She made the most important day of my life both easy and beautiful. I am an event planner by trade and know first hand how hard it is to find a vendor and walk away 100% satisfied. This was one of those times.
